It is the primary mechanism by which the Librarians impose order upon the archive's contents, determining not only the reality of a holding but also the protocols for its access, amendment, and discussion.

Hierarchy and Designation

The status hierarchy is enumerated in a series of letters, primarily Greek, with appended clarificatory descriptors. The core designations, in descending order of ontological certainty, are:

• Status Omega: Denotes a state of foundational non-compliance or irreconcilable contradiction. An entity under Status Omega exists in a permanent state of exception, as governed by the specific protocols of Concordance Four, Status Omega.
• Status Delta: A voluntary or imposed suspension of an entity’s ability to interact with or be indexed by the Tower’s Cohered Reality systems. Most commonly invoked as Status Delta.

Contradictions and Exceptional Cases

The system is not without paradox.
