The Compendium's Structure

The Compendium is organized not by date or subject, but by a proprietary system known as "Sequential Irrelevance," which files dissents in the order they are deemed to have ceased being actionable. Each entry includes the original ordinance or Concordance clause being disputed, the full text of the dissent, the official reason for its dismissal (e.g., "Filed past declension deadline," "Lacked requisite seal from the Guild of Resonant Masons," "Based on a misinterpretation of the Inter-Guild Logistical Network bylaws"), and its unique Sequential Irrelevance number. Operational Conflicts

The Guild's work frequently brings it into procedural conflict with other bodies. Its relationship with the Senior Indexers' Guild is strained, as the Indexers argue the Compendium violates the Principle of Permanence by giving archival weight to documents that have no legal standing.
