Its authority is derived from Concordances 12-Γ and 47-, which grant it jurisdiction over "all apertures, voids, and chambers where sound may crystallize."

Its primary functions include the certification of sonic stability for new construction, the maintenance of existing resonant structures (such as the West Helical Staircase), and the arbitration of disputes arising from harmonic interference between adjacent guild wings. Concordance 12-Γ states the Guild exists to "prevent the aggregation of harmful harmonics," implying a custodial role. However, a contradictory clause in Concordance 47-, Appendix B, suggests its true purpose is to "cultivate specific resonances to forestall architectural decay." Current Status
