This includes, but is not limited to: the hinges on doors that are only described as "ajar"; the unnamed third party implied in reports of a "disagreement between two parties"; the atmospheric particulates that cause distant lights to shimmer in descriptions of remote hallways; and the specific grade of varnish used on railings referenced solely by their reflective quality.
