Key of Unmaking refers to any implement bearing the official stamp of the Iterative Chamber that is formally authorized for the permanent dissolution of a catalogued subject at an Aperture Gamma facility. Its primary and only sanctioned application is the opening of sealed Memory Caskets to facilitate their procedural annihilation, a process governed by Clause 7.4.12.

Physical Specifications

While often colloquially referred to as a "key," the physical form is not standardized. Documented variants include a tarnished iron lever (Inventory Gamma-887), a ceramic tile inscribed with a dissolving spiral (Inventory Gamma-903), and a set of seven glass rods (Inventory Gamma-912).
