The Station of Citation is the designated procedural node within the Hall of Inception where the relevant and binding Concordance documents for a submitted Declaration are identified, verified, and formally attached to the dispute's nascent procedural vessel. It is the second sequential station in the inception workflow, following the Station of Declaration and preceding the Station of Embodiment.

Location and Configuration

The Station occupies Chamber 8,422-Alpha within the Hall of Inception, specifically in the northern annex of the Halls of Equivocation. Its architecture is characterized by concentric tiers of burnished walnut carrels, each facing a central dais where the Citation Conductor presides. A bank of 144 pneumatic tube termini lines the western wall, through which declarations are received from the prior station. The eastern wall is punctured by the single Laminated Borosilicate Glass observation aperture belonging to Clerks' Station 7-Gamma, which provides silent oversight of all proceedings.

Standard Procedure

Upon receipt of a declaration cylinder from the Station of Declaration, the duty Clerk of Citation unpacks the inscribed contradiction and subjects it to a tripartite analysis: thematic resonance, historical precedent, and current binding authority. The Clerk consults the active Citation Mapping ledgers maintained by the Office of Reciprocal Citation to trace potential concordant pathways. The goal is not to find a single correct citation, but to assemble a legally sufficient portfolio of citations whose combined gravitational pull will define the dispute's interpretive field. Once identified, a verified copy of each pertinent Concordance clause is produced on citron-yellow slip paper and physically attached to the declaration dossier with a specific grade of non-reactive clerical wax. The assembled case is then passed via hand-cart to the Station of Embodiment.

A notable sub-clause of Binding Citation 44.12.7 stipulates that any citation performed at the Station must be logged in the Master Ledger of Applied Precedent within 17 minutes of its attachment, a rule instituted after the Crisis of the Diverging Citation.

The Citation Conductor

Administrative authority rests with the Citation Conductor, a role rotated weekly among Senior Clerks of Grade VII or higher.
